Luis was born in Cuba. He grew up in California and South Florida. He and his wife, Raquel, have been married over 30 years. They have been raising a family in Melrose since 1993.

• Raquel works at Shands as a translator.
• His daughter, Bianca, has a Law Degree from Columbia University and lives in NYC.
• Luis’s son, Danny, has a degree in Political Science from the University of Florida.
• The Gras family also includes three rescue animals: two cats and a dog.

Luis loves working on cars. He has for so long he can’t remember when it began.  It has been his only career.

Luis graduated Grover Morgan Technical School over three decades ago. Luis’ particular area of expertise is transmission and A/C repair.

Luis has worked at just a handful of repair shops. In the 1990s, he and Artie worked together at another local shop for over eight years. He joined the Performance Transmission and A/C team in May 2012.

In his free time, Luis enjoys tending to his property, woodworking and fixing things around the house.
