Performance Transmission & A/C Automotive Repair

Clay Tillman

The youngest member of the team, Clay is a pleasure to work with. Clay was born at Seven Rivers Hospital in Citrus County. We can’t believe Clay was born only a couple years before Artie bought Performance Transmission. He graduated from Buchholz High School in 2015 and started working with us in July of 2016.

  • Growing up, Clay enjoyed helping his father fix family vehicles. He has been restoring his 1970 Monte Carlo since fifth grade.
  • As a young kid, Clay would go to Bronson Racetrack every Friday. His dad would compete with his race car. Clay would be his assistant mechanic.
  • Clay graduated the Santa Fe College Automotive Program in 2018. His long-term goal is to be a Certified Master Technician by the age of 25.

Clay maintains his two daily driving vehicles. These are a 1999 Chevy Suburban and a 1983 Chevy Silverado. The Silverado has had a transmission swap. It was an automatic; now it’s a manual. Clay also rebuilt the engine.

After work, Clay enjoys hunting (mainly deer and hogs), fishing (fresh and saltwater) and riding dirt bikes and four-wheelers.
