Giving Back

Only by Giving are you able to receive more than you already have

Small, local businesses, such as ours, are an essential part of every community.  We have been and always will be active participants within our community; whether that be through our time, talent or treasure.

With Kathy’s background of teaching children with special needs, Performance Transmission and A/C has and will continue to donate to many local elementary schools.  Our donations vary, from assisting a class with the cost of a field trip or money for a fun craft to do or new game to play.  We have also donated to Toys for Kids, Missing Children Alert Program, Inc. and Project Graduation.

In the summer of 2014 we donated to Danielle Hagan a local Taekwondoe student who made it on to the USA Team for TAFISA World Martial Arts Championship in Vancouver Canada.  (Update: She won 4 Gold, 1 Silver and 1 Bronze Metal).  We enjoy continuing to keep up with her competitions on Facebook.

It was our pleasure to help sponsor the PK Young Blue Wave Baseball Team for their 2015 season!

We are also a sponsor for a Coast 2 Coast Bike Ride, which is raising funds and awareness for the Special Olympics of Alachua and Bradford Counties.   If you would like to learn more about the kickoff event in May 2015 visit  To donate visit  Or follow them on Facebook/2015 Coast 2 Coast in 50 hours.

The Beagle Freedom Project is near and dear to our hearts because the Baxley family owns two beagles, Lilly and SeaSea.  The Beagle Freedom Project is a national rescue organization that uses peaceful negotiation with research laboratories to release their test subjects (beagles) after the testing is complete instead of ending their lives through euthanasia.   Upon release, the organization finds the beagles loving homes and assists in the medical costs to keep the dogs healthy.   We have donated to them personally and professionally since their inception in 2010.  Check them out on Facebook or at

Since Colleen’s diagnosis of MS in 2013, Performance Transmission and A/C also makes yearly donations to The National Multiple Sclerosis Society.  In 2014, Colleen was the highest single fundraiser at the WalkMS Gainesville event.  And in April 2015 her team, the Baxley Beagles Hunt for a Cure, had 12 human members and 4 canine and raised $2,000!  Due to Andrew’s birth in January 2016 Colleen’s fundraising started late for WalkMS 2016 so Performance Transmission and A/C helped out by matching any donation by our customers.  This generosity helped Colleen’s team to raise $1,500 in 1 month!!!!
